Manchester is one of the World’s top destinations, and it’s no surprise why. The city is a jam packed with reasons to visit, from its leading art and culture, inspired food and drink, extensive shopping, Christmas markets, music scene, vibrant nightlife, museums, and galleries, and obvs - the sport.

LEVEN Manchester is at home in the city’s vibrant village district, centered around Canal Street, bustling with a unique atmosphere and a tonne of restaurant bars, pubs and clubs and within easy walking distance of the Northern Quarter, China Town, Piccadilly Station, and city center shopping. There a too many to choose from, but we gave it a shot and here are a few of our favourite local haunts.

Brookfield 0096

Deadstock General Store

Artfully curated nicks and knacks, trinkets, cosmetics, terrariums and all the things you didn’t know you needed but fell in love with.

Fred Aldous

Got a crafty itch to scratch? Head on over to this temple of stationary. Packed all kinds of art supplies, haberdashery, homewares, books, and haberdashery (how often do you read that word?).

Bar Pop

A Village institution, Bar Pop is the only independently run and owned venue run by a drag queen and is a firm local favourite for not only it’s riotous cabarets and shows but it’s inclusivity.

Beaumont Organic

This ethical womenswear and homewares brand, with designs crafted in Manchester, is strong on style and has been working to pave the way for fashion to have a more sustainable future for years.

Glass House Plant Shop

We’ve never met a plant we didn’t like. This place is plant paradise. Packed full of all kinds of fun greenery, big, small and teeny, all against artful backdrops of neon and millennial pink. Need we say more? Insta heaven.

Speak in Code

This award-winning cocktail bar is hidden away in a side street, but not shy when it comes to its forward thinking and sustainably focused cocktail list. When eating’s not cheating - the snacks are deliciously naughty and vegan to boot.
